About Us
Hi,
My name is Zach. I have been developing websites for several years now and started FreeSiteService.com for a number of reasons.
The first being, the amount of people I have encountered with horror stories of their own website results. I typically heard these stories after the usual, "What do you do for a living?" conversation.
I would simply say that I was a web designer and it would trigger a negative affect. They would say something like, "I don't want to go there" or "I had a bad experience", that sort of thing. The sad thing is a huge percentage of these people were small business owners or individuals who literally spent all they had saved to have a web site done. They didn't have tons of disposable income to just, give it another shot.
The fact remained they were being taken advantage of. Even though most of them only required a simple site to expose their business on the internet, they were being charged for things that didn't even fit their sites requirements. A brochure web site, just doesn't require the same 'financial effort' as say, an ecommerce/product website. However, they were still being charged ridiculous amounts for their sites design and in most cases still unhappy with the look.
The second reason, is I couldn't stand the thought of creating a site for one of my clients and them not being happy with the results. A lot of these big name web developers are creating web sites like an assembly line. Someone creates the layout, then passes it on to a designer, a programmer and so on. This process has the tendency to break down the image the client had in mind, through miscommunication and artistic differences. They end up losing focus of their customer's needs. Somehow once they get paid for supplying the website and receive payment, customer service is out the window.
Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that all web developers are bad. However, the market is so saturated with web designers it's hard to determine who you can depend on. Then, there is always the price factor. People are being overcharged for a simple web design and it just shouldn't be the case. So in an attempt to alleviate this problem I have developed a system that allows individuals and small businesses to have a simple, yet professionally designed web site for free.
This is where the semi-custom design comes into play. Semi-custom simply means we have created high-quality professional design templates that you can choose. Once you choose the layout that you desire, we add your content, set up your pages - add your logo, contact preferences, change colors etc. So you don't have to wait weeks and weeks for a full custom design, but still have the enough options to make it your own.
We do all this for free and customer service doesn't disappear once we set up your site. We will work with you until you're satisfied with your options and if you want to change the look six months down the road, with a new theme we can do that too...for free!
The best part is, if you're not happy for any reason you're not out hundreds of dollars.
What sets us apart from other free website services is once you set up your free site you're on your own. You still have to know how to implement the content that makes it your own and there is no support. You will also have to know how to set up your domain and deal with technical issues when they arise. We handle everything from start to finish, completely free of charge.
So what's the catch? Okay, so there is a catch and we're not ashamed to admit it. Just like any web design company, we make our money providing premium services. So we're hoping that if we treat you good enough, that when you're ready for your next design project you'll choose us. That's it, no monkey business! We want your business and it wouldn't hurt our feelings if you told others about us either. Best of all when you are ready for your next big design, we guarantee that our prices will be substantially lower than our larger competitors. Our low prices don't reflect how we do business or the quality of our work, so don't be worried about that.
We operate on a 100% customer satisfaction policy. You're not happy, you don't pay that's it!
I hope that we can help create your new online presence that you have been looking for and we look forward to doing business with you.
Best Regards,
Zach Wheat
